After an update, Win10 no longer ‘hears’ my microphone

After my first headphone/mic combo dies, I got another.  This one also does not work.  Windows reports no errors with the device, and the speakers work, but the microphone does not.

Hello Patrick,
I’ve looked for your motherboard drivers and found this audio driver. Please download and install it then restart your computer a couple of times and give it a try. Don’t forget to choose Windows 10 64 bit from the list before downloading the driver:
