I have my headset connected and I can hear audio perfectly fine. My mic says it’s connected and everything looks good, but it won’t pick up any sound. I tested my mic on another computer and It worked fine.

I forgot to mention my mic was perfectly fine a couple months ago and worked great, but it just stopped working randomly

Hello RagingCool,
Well it seems now ore like an update or driver problem. So please make sure you check for Windows update and also download the audio driver from your computer manufacturer’s website. If you can’t get that easily please send us your computer model number and we will redirect you to the compatible driver for your computer.

Great, can you tell me how to find my model number?

on January 18, 2018

It’s probably on a sticker at the bottom of your laptop / back of your computer.

I can’t find it anywhere on the computer. Any place else I might find it?

Other 2 posts wouldn’t load so they don’t have text

There’s another way:
1- Press “Windows key+R” or open your Run dialogue from start menu.
2- Type dxdiag and press enter.
in the main screen you will see the System model, your computer model will be shown there.

Sorry for the wait, I’ll send the system model later today. I’m not currently home

The model is a MS-7A74

on January 26, 2018

Hey RagingCool,
I believe your motherboard ia one of these three. I think you can get it from the startup screen.
https://www.msi.com/search/MS-7A74/product/1
Select yours, click download then head to the drivers tab. You will find there audio drivers. You can install them and restart your computer for a couple of times and then see if it works. We will be waiting for the results.

I can’t find anywhere that says download. I pull up my motherboard selection (which is the first out of the 3) and there’s just a page that describes different things.

NVM. Thank you so much it worked!
