Mic not working on new PC

Hi, I have a headset with a mic that I used to use on my old laptop. I recently got a new desktop and the sound works fine, but the mic doesn’t. I got an audio splitter assuming that was the problem, but it still doesn’t detect sound. It knows the mic is there, i have it set to default, I’ve checked that nothing is muted, uninstalled and reinstalled the realtek drivers, nothing seems to be working. The headset mic still works fine on my laptop so I have no idea if this is a windows 10 issue, or an issue with the splitter, or what. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi TMcKenzie,
I’ve heard of a lot of problems with splitters and such on Win10, basically it’s for every headset that doesn’t connect via USB.

What’s the model of your headset/mic?
