Microphone Software Issue

I’ve tried almost every method to fix my mic and nothing is working. It is definitely not a software issue for it works on other devices. It has worked perfectly fine earlier today and now the sound is extremely muffled/no sound input at all. I have fixed the same problem before by manipulating the advanced settings, but even that doesn’t work now.

Hey SuperKatyusha, it’s okay I’ll do my best to help you.
Do you remember doing any changes to your computer? Like installing an app or running an update? Maybe you’ll find a recovery point at your history and go load it back and then the problem will be gone.
If it’s kinda an automatic update, I think we should reinstall your audio driver ourselves, so please send me your computer model number and I’ll redirect you to the compatible one. Will be waiting for your reply! Cheers.

There has been no updates to any apps what so ever, I tried reinstalling the driver but it may have been the incorrect one. The system model is GE72 2GF

I’m sorry but I can’t really find “2GF” in the GE72 series, please take another look at this list and tell me if any of these is yours:

Send us all what’s on your laptop bottom’s ticket, maybe we will figure out more about it.

It’s a GE72 2QF Apache Pro

on March 10, 2018

Ok here you go…
Download and install the audio driver found here:
https://www.msi.com/Laptop/support/GE72-2QF-Apache-Pro-4.html#down-driver
then restart your computer for a couple of times.
Tell me how it went. Good luck!

I’m sorry to be a bother but i am having the same issue and the model number is AX370M-DS3H

on July 18, 2018

Hello ConFrunkin, don’t be! Check the Audio driver corresponding to your Operating system version and region, download and install it then give your computer a couple of restarts and see if it works.

Im using a “Turtle Beach Recon 50P Gaming Headset PS4/Xbox One/PC” the middle way through last night windows stopped recognising my headset as having a microphone on it and just recognising it as an audio playing device (headphones) for around 5 hours now i’ve been trying to troubleshoot it in the settings but the problem is it only shows realtek, not my headset, hope you can help.

Hello Purps, maybe your computer had some updates that affected your microphone. I suggest that you download the audio driver from your computer manufacturer’s official website, install  it and give your computer a couple of restarts and see if it works. If you can’t find the suitable driver, please reply your computer model number and I’ll do the best to get it for you.
